Background

[Endwalker Spoilers ahead...]Kadri is a resident of Tural, the New World. Hers was a simple family life; her grandparents were fishers, her parents were farmers, and both plied their trades in the markets with their catches and crafts. The woman's days were spent with her family: helping haul in fish, brush the alpaca, spin wool into yarn and spending market days running between stalls and sneaking treats to her sister.But Kadri's eyes kept looking to horizon more and more as the years went by. She felt the tug and call to wander grow stronger over the years, until the day came to join a trading ship heading to Eorzea. She begged and begged her parents for their blessing to leave, thought she knew in her heart that she'd board the boat no matter what. The parental blessing was reluctant, but Kadri was heading down to the the boat to a new adventure.And then the skies were aflame...Shooting stars soaring past the ship while it was on open rough seas, but Limsa Lominsa's port was in view. The boat sped ahead, and while helping folk and supplies stay down, Kadri fell from the vessel. She woke up some time later, to a chiurgeon looking over her and thankfully minimal wounds.With time she'd recover, and then spend her time exploring Eorzea until the next ships back to Tural come.

Story Hooks

  • Foreigner: Kadri is from the New World, so she's not too aware of Eorzean, Ishgardian, or Far Eastern customs. So she spends her idle time people-watching and observing just to get the lay of the land and how the locals tick. If you see a pair of eyes scanning a crowded market or wandering around a city-state looking puzzled, there's a high likelihood it's her.

  • Scent of Sunflowers: One of the more striking things about Kadri is the sunflower hairpin she always wears. It looks as if it's freshly picked and the scent of the flower is strong. If asked, she'll say that she found a few sunflowers on her manacutter during her first delivery. There were no notes, no name, just left there. She fashioned the gift into her signature hairpin, but she does wish she could meet the mysterious gifter one day. Maybe she'll ask if you have a clue...?

  • Postwoman: A chance encounter with the Deputy Postmoogle sent her on the path to a calling she genuinely loves. After plenty of training, she was deemed an official Postwoman, and will do her level best to deliver your parcels to every corner of the realm! If you need a courier, just click here

  • Horizon Seeker: Kadri wants to see everything that the world has to offer. Every vista, every skyline, every inch of the world she wants to see and experience. Maybe you've seen her on the road or enjoying a nice meal alone in a far-flung tavern?

  • Free Paladin(with a gunblade sometimes): In her wanderings Kadri found herself in the Gladiator's Guild. And once there, she learned the ways of the sword-and-board, and she even took up the mantle of a Free Paladin when she heard the calls for applicants. However, due to an accident, her shield arm broke and is currently better, but she has trouble holding her shield. She adapted by taking up the gunblade for awhile, but switched back to her normal sword with a shield-less style. She can alternate between the two depending on which she has on hand, however.

  • Treasure Hunter: If there's a rumor or inkling of a treasure somewhere, Kadri will do almost anything to know more. Treasure means adventure, and adventure means new experiences. Due to crossing path with the Redbills, she has some expertise with treasure hunting, sky piracy, firearms, and flying a manacutter. Maybe she'll ask to tag along on an adventure? She'll use her puppy dog eyes though...

  • Bodyguard: Guarding caravans is decent work, and she's done so once in a blue moon. She's professional, courteous, and serious when she's on a job. But she'll crack a few jokes when things are calm, and keeps her gunblade at the ready if it comes to it.

  • A Dancer's Gait: She'll be the first to tell you that she's the type to get swept up in things. And when Kadri was barely getting her land legs after recovering in Limsa, she was swept up in a visiting dancer's troupe that was making a stop in the pirate city. She watched the show in awe, and the next thing she knew, there was a Dancer's crystal in her hand and she was practicing her steps while trailing Troupe Falsiam on the road. It's to the point where her dance lessons bleed into her other fighting styles. It's especially noticable when she wields her gunblade; every slash and shot is on the beat.

  • Happy Little Painting Accidents: Kadri's not the most artistic. She can scribble idly when she's bored or do cute doodles, but nothing that can be considered a masterpiece. However, a delivery to Sharlayan had her cross paths with some tomes on pictomancy, and she eventually took up the magical art as a bit of a hobby. If you see her out in the wild practicing her magic, just be mindful of the paint spatters!

  • Half payment is expected on Kadri accepting the delivery, other half of the payment is expected upon completion of delivery.

  • Method of transportation will be dictated by the length of the route.

  • Upon successful delivery, Kadri will ask for the second half of the agreed-upon final bill; tips are optional but highly appreciated.
